1930-1940:  “Retro” or “Art Moderne” jewelry is a style in which two or three colors of polished gold are used to contrast and reflect the various gemstones.

1950’s to the present:  Estate jewelry describes all previously owned jewelry of considerable value and high style, which sells far below the current retail market.
