72.  Diamond and carved gold ring.  Edward Oakes.  This is an exceptional and exquisitely beautiful ring made by the greatest American Arts and Crafts jeweler, Edward Oakes.  Vibrant and fiery old European cut diamonds in a hand made pierced yellow gold ring.  The ring is very comfortable on and creates a dramatic presence on the finger.  Edward Oakes was the president of the Boston Arts and Crafts Society and his jewelry is quite rare and highly collected.
