229.  Cabochon-cut ruby, diamond and gold flower earrings.  Marchak, Paris.  These earrings are beautiful examples of the wire work French jewelry designers were emphasizing during the 1950’s and 1960’s. Each earring is designed as a flower with a cabochon cut ruby surrounded by diamonds in 18kt yellow gold.  Marchak was one of the great 1960’s Parisian jewelers whose clients included Jackie Onassis and numerous movie stars.  Great style
