206.  Fine, translucent, carved jadeite jade, pearl and carved gold “aquarium” brooch.  Marsh & Co. This is a wonderful “fantasy” brooch of an underwater aquarium with carved jade fish and various sea creatures and fauna in carved gold relief and small pearls as air bubbles.  The brooch was made by Marsh & Co.  Marsh & Co. was a San Francisco shop that specialized in Orientalia and jewelry.  They were famous for their anodized steel jewelry and their exceptional jade.  Marsh & Co jewelry is rare and highly collected.
