| 158. Calibré-set sapphire and platinum line bracelet. Thomas Kirkpatrick & Co. This is a classic Art Deco bracelet referred to as a “line” bracelet. A line bracelet was often worn with a diamond link bracelet as well as with other “line” bracelets. The challenge of making a proper sapphire line bracelet is to match all the sapphires in both color and size and construct the bracelet without showing much metal. This is an exceptional example. Thomas Kirkpatrick & Co was a wonderful small boutique jewelry store in New York during the 1920’s. |
