130.  Siberian amethyst, cushion-cut diamond and carved gold bishops ring.  This is a superb bishop’s ring composed of a bright purple amethyst surrounded by cushion cut diamonds.  The shoulders of the ring are incredible with carved puttis or cherubs along the sides.  This is a very dramatic large ring and was used at ceremonies by a bishop.  One was required to bow and kiss the ring of the bishop as a means of deference and respect.
